A newspaper as the final project for an engaging internship experience
PXL has partnered with Genscom to provide a custom platform for its students
PXL University of Applied Sciences and Arts.
This is a power term, a strong brand that evokes a young and dynamic atmosphere.
PXL stands for "Professionals & Excellence," and the university college is committed to graduating true professionals who meet the X-factor—central to their name.
A uniform internship report
As part of their final projects, each student creates a newspaper featuring their internship report, individual insights, conclusions, and additional commentary from their internship supervisor. Although each newspaper has unique content, the format is standardized with a unified layout and design. Unity and differentiation. PXL uses these newspapers as an asset for student, the college, and internship sites alike.
Comprehensive support for students
PXL University College ensures that students receive guidance throughout the project. Genscom’s platform allows mentors to track students’ progress on their newspapers, conduct interim evaluations, and provide feedback. This support results in newspapers that are both well-designed and rich in content.

Five copies per student
Each student received five copies of their newspaper: one for themselves, one for the review committee, and one for their internship hosts. These newspapers are a must-have for everyone involved. Companies can use them to promote their business, while students gain a unique asset for entering the job market. After a successful first year, PXL plans to continue with this newspaper format in the upcoming year.
